More than a race car

A classroom
without a finish line.

Formula U gives University of Utah students the chance to take an idea off a screen, manufacture it with their own hands, and discover whether it works in the real world.

Our members run the entire program - fundraising, planning, engineering, fabrication, testing, and competition. Every challenge is part of the education.

The student experience

The students
are the purpose.

Members work across engineering, software, composites, operations, finance, and outreach. Along the way, they gain practical experience, confidence, professional relationships, and proof that they can solve difficult problems together.
